Hitching a Ride On an Eagle
77
I had a very good month in April. I guess I got into the mood of doing some inner cleaning work with one on one coaching with Gary Eby (qlcoach) who writes in Hubpages. He offers therapy for all human issues, be it addictions, OCD, grief and more; he also offers goal oriented coaching, and with over 40 years experience, this man knows what he is doing! Since he is a social worker with a good spiritual awareness, he genuinely cared about my well being, even charged me modestly for unlimited one month email sessions.
I also hired the homeopathy services from Tatjana who sent me remedies to balance my body as I experienced menopause which created imbalances such as itching and insomnia. For the first time in decades, my insomnia has been healed! When I first took the remedies, I felt high in energy, too high, and it startled me (no there isn't any drugs in the salts); after this initial experience, the changes were subtle which led into my finally sleeping and dreaming normally.
I became aware that even if I am generally a positive person, and write about the subject, I didn't fully realize the crucial importance of practicing day to day centering and releasing patterns that suppress my joy. My practices were very sporadic, much like praying only when the need arises. The body and the mind needs daily fine tuning, so its stays in a higher state. Its very easy to sway with the ups and downs that life can give us and develop unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Not every day even for the most upbeat human being is going to be filled with sunshine; there are bills to pay, businesses to take care of, little aches here and there, disappointments, past traumas, loss of friends and loved ones through death, you know life. Yet there are also wonderful days, when the stars seem to be shining just for us, opportunities knock, and the simple blessings and pleasures in one's life opens and warms our heart.
Everyday, I fill myself with the Love-Light to start my day in a positive note. I chant my mantras, be it for healing, finances, or simply to feel connected to God. If I see myself with a pattern of fear that is not helping me, I face it and let it go. If I am facing a stressful moment, instead of sinking lower into the stress and negative behavior, I diffuse it by calming my mind and body with music and deep breathing, use a process Gary taught me, which is called the Stop and Think and nips any negative behavior in the bud; In addition, I follow recovery/healing modules which he writes about in his outstanding book, "The Eby way" where he explains how we all have a dark shadow self that challenges our well being and gives the tools to transcend this side of our nature. I also use a technique from the HeartMath institute, where I place my hand over the heart and remember a very happy moment in my life, it works for me within minutes!
It has been scientifically proved by the HearthMath researchers that remembering a positive experience brings the body into a healthy resonance, so any psychological or spiritual technique will have the same affect. The issue may still be present, but the perception and reaction shifts so there is a calm clarity of mind. When the mind is calm, we can hear God/Universe's inspiration, and sometimes the answer is to do nothing, just surrender and trust.
In the session, Gary asked me to create a space in my mind where I could turn to, when dealing with issues, and I chose a mountain where I stood facing a beautiful eagle. He concluded our empowering sessions with, "Blessings Marie. You have all the emotional recovery tools that you need now. Now hitch a ride on your eagle. And if you need my help in the future, just let me know". I feel that I can fly high or higher as an eagle at home in the sky because we all have a spirit within that responds with brillance to self love, if we but allow ourselves to trust and let go.
Thank you Gary and Tatjana you both contributed to my healing, may the work you do continue to shine!

Just lovely Violet Sun - and that most important of all messages when you wrote about practicing day to day - we tend to live in the past, preparing for the future and not taking a minute for today.
This is something we have to be reminded of. Because we just don't do it - we still haven't mastered taking care of ourselves on all levels - and doing it day by day. It's like a bad diet - "I'm going to lose 30 pounds in 30 days" - how about taking today to just eat properly and meditate and take a walk and such.
Well, it is 7:18am here in lovely, Brooklyn, NYC. So your inspiring hub will get me off to a good start. Today is the day!
This is a great pep talk and we still need it.
Thanks so much. I'll bookmark so I can come back and also share it. Rated up - today!
What a beautiful picture you've started this hub with...it's so Violet! Wishing you much peace and joy, Marie! :)
Beautiful, just wonderful Marie! It is always a joy to read your hub and your sharing of your journey. I learn so much from you! Your openness and willingness to do something is the key to it all. Many times, we know what we can do but we are not wiling to do it :) Glad too you shared Gary and Tatjana to the world. Now people can also go and ask help as needed :) Blessings and continue to fly and soar like the eagle.
Thank YOU Mary!
You have done exactly what everyone would need to do in the process of healing: you invested your own time and effort and your inner positivity -so everything has to work great!
You, your Hub (and your eagle) just made this sunshine day even more beautiful amd shinning!
Very soon I will be away over the weekend (island and my garden) so that is the reason my comment is so short now, will say something more in 2 days when I will be back in Zadar...you surprised me so pleasently that I am just "whithout words".
Receive a lot of love, peace, joy and thousands of hugs.
Thank you again.
Give my own regards to Gary...he IS excellent. You are excellent.
Awesome! That was beautiful. You're right when you say... ..."sometimes the answer is to do nothing, just surrender and trust." Most certainly it is the right approach as, honestly, there isn't much we can do (most often)to change our circumstances. I will definitely read the Eby Way. Seems to be insightful. In fact holding (each others) hands makes journey through wilderness easier. Isn't it? Thx so much for a great read.
VioletSun - thank you for sharing this with us. What a wonderful thought - hitching a ride on an eagle! I have read qlcoach's hubs too and of course Tatjana's. Isn't it wonderful how HP has its own community to draw strength and guidance from?
A very nice, uplifting hub. I enjoyed reading it.
very empowering hug.......thx 4 share
Violet - Absolutely inspirational, I love reading your hubs. I love the way you sought help from others on HubPages. I love reading Tajana's hubs.
Thank you for being so open and sharing this experience with us. I as well need to get into a daily practice. It makes a huge difference. You are truly an inspiration, thanks so much!
Hugs and blessings,
Sage
Finding solutions to our own difficulties is what we all aspire to and appear to have taken a step inthe right direction. Well done :-)
Very well expressed, Violet Sun. I couldn't agree more with what you share here. One might even say that inner peace isn't for sissies, because even though it's the easiest way to BE and live, those challenges which beset every living person keep it active. It's an active kind of living, even though non-struggling. Thank you for the very kind words you wrote in your fan letter, too. I'm pleased to find you!
Beautiful hub VioletSun. We are all interconnected, and when we allow ourselves time and vision to choose who we walk our path with, there can be some wonderful results. Flying with eagles is a fantastic image. To be able to soar and glide on such powerful wings, and at the same time to be able to dissect and observe the world beneath with absolute clarity, would be a fabulous experience. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the information. I have a problem of two in these areas, which I sometimes have a hard time dealing with. I'll have to check out the methods you have suggested. If I gather any sort of solace, I shall let you know. Thanks.
Mi querida, Marie...
This is a wonderful hub! You have enlivened my already bright evening! You forgot to embrace the tree as I asked you, didn´t you? You thought I´d forget? Hahahaha! I LOVED IT! It has been rated up, bookmarked and Stumbled!
Warmest regards, lots of love, light and infinite heavenly blessings, my dearest friend,
Al
so that explains the title - I thought a poem was in the offing, but then again, your path to healing is quite poetic so...Thanks for always taking us on a ride with your inspiring stories. Be blessed always my friend :D
Hi Marie, I was lead to stop by this morning; and I am so happy that I did. This hub is a great reminder of how one must stop to replenish oneself in other to continue to give and serve others.
It is divinely awesome when the "supporter" can find others that can "support and invigorate" or as you so lovely stated; one can hitch a ride on an eagle just long enough for strength to be restored and inspiration renewed. Thanks for sharing. :)
Namaste!
Namaste, lovely lady! What a wonderful read this was. I too have long admired both Gary and Tatjana - isn't it wonderful that we have such highly talented and caring people here on HubPages! thanks for being one of them.
Love and peace
Tony
The opening picture is wonderful, and the hub follows the same way, very interesting and a pleasure to read. Thanks for sharing. Rated and stumbled. :)
I am loving this Title and the Hub!!!!! Very inspirational, I feel you!!! Blessings! I have missed you, when you get a chance, come visit me!
Violet, we only live once (that we know of) and we might as well live it with joy. Only, happiness takes work and dedication. I am glad that you found joy.
Well your writing is always positive and well thought out, and nice of you to give a shout out to fellow hubbers that inspire you. I really liked the picture at the top of the page though, as I love sunset pictures!
Its because of creative people like Eby that i prefer hubpages over any other writer's platform. I am not a social person but some hubs here are so attractive and interesting that even people like me post comments.

VioletSun... Just loved the picture of the eagle. It is one beautiful bird. I actually saw an eagle that flew right above my head. It is something that I will never forget. Actually we were bird watching at the time ....so I knew it was there. But they are totally gorgeous.
Your article was very interesting. I know when we are going through hormone changes ...we really have a hard time sleeping. When the Melatonin in our system drops ...our sleeping habits change.
Tart Cherry Juice is great for natural Melatonin ...good sleeping to you!!
I love this line, "...we tend to live in the past, preparing for the future and not taking a minute for today..." Thanks for another very inspiring hub! Voted up! =)
