Namaste Honoring the Spirit in You, That's in Me
70
I am sitting in the corner of my universe thinking and writing, with music playing in the background and a garden filled with water fountains facing my window; to the right is a scented candle burning near pictures of my loved ones who have passed on; next to these pictures is a statue of Archangel Michael, which I have had for years and has traveled many miles as I relocated from one side of the USA to another. It represents to me, my connection to a higher force which I may not see, but is there for me at all times. Next to my office, is another office where my mate is peacefully doing his thing. Life can have so much beauty, as the beauty I am seeing and feeling in this moment, but then there are also moments, such as loss, not only of loved ones, but of a relationship, health, job, money, home, that can hurt us deeply and shake the core of our being.
Yet, this is what life can be like at times. The contrast between experiences, the ones that fill us with peace, and the ones that challenge it. I have learned as time has passed, that shifting our focus to seeing the sacredness in everything we do, from the air we breathe, even to the food we eat and to the love we give, honors our individual existence in this planet and our connection to the God force. The God force would be life itself, as all that is on this planet has the essence of God permeating it. Through a reverence for life, we can transcend our pain.
In living life with appreciation of our sacredness, we learn to honor the sacredness of others. This opens our hearts to seeing the perfection and beauty that is within each and everyone, no matter where they are in their human expression, as each person/soul has their lessons to learn. The physicality of this reality will end one day, but the real substance of our being, which is our souls, will live and shine on forever.
There is beauty and strength in living with the awareness of the sacredness of life; it adds a glow and power to our being, a glow to our work, our purpose, and our play, and it adds meaning to our death which is the stepping into another portal but without our bodies; a continuing dance with the God force.
Imagine a world where we all honored our selves and others, not from an ego perspective, but from the love within our hearts and souls, the world would indeed be a paradise as the human need to judge and harm will cease to be as an expression. Ironically, by respecting oneself and others we have the greatest force/strength.
As the sages of old have said while holding their palms in front of their hearts or third eye, "Namaste" which means, "I honor the spirit in you, that is in me," I continue to honor myself and be grateful for my existence, here and the world beyond, and encourage all to honor yourselves as God's divine creation.
Namaste!

Dear VioletSun-
It is Friday here in Salt Lake City. On Monday my daughter and I traveled from our town to SLC for an appointment with a Neurologist and a Spinal Tap for my dear daughter who has been suffering with terrible headaches since January and has had to take a Medical Leave from her College. From the MRI that she had a couple of weeks ago, it showed she had spots on her brain. She is just 19 and of course this has caused much concern.
After the Spinal Tap, there have been complications which ended up calling 911 from our Hotel to have her taken by Ambulance to the Hospital. What was thought to be a 2 day stay has ended up to be longer.
Since Monday afternoon, I have watched my dear sweet baby girl suffer from terrible pain and sickness. I find that the pain of a child runs deep within a mother.
Thank Goodness for the knowledge of a Higher Being and the security in knowing that we are not alone. I have found through my experience over the past several days that I am able to go to places in my heart and mind and soul to find Peace and Love and Calmness.
Thank You as always for your insight and love.
Have a Dynamic Day!
Yippity
Violet Sun--I'm going to visualize Yippity's daughter bathed in light too--and Yippity I'm putting you in a light bubble too--it can't hurt. Thanks VS for that beautiful description of the serenity of your surroundings and for a hub that so beautifully illustrates the warp and woof of life. Namaste your own self:-)
You are spiritual like me. Well I suggest you join the oneness movement. It's out of the world experience. They raise your consciousness levels and you actually become enlightened. I have seen those beings and you have to see them in joy to believe them. They simply live in joy and love 24/7 which is quite amazing. And the point is no effort can do it. It's the divine which guided Jesus does it!
I have recently discovered the world you describe here, and it's wonderful! Even in the face of bankruptcy and possible loss of my home I wake each day, anxious to experience the blessings of life. Thank you for a thought provoking hub!
Such a beautiful hub! Thank you for sharing this with us!
Nice and meaningful hub!
Namaste Marie- WOW!! Such a good hub. I was curious since it had a name like Namaste. Namaste is said to mean "The light in me honors the light in you" The word is derived from Sanskrit (namas): to bow, obeisance, reverential salutation, and (te): "to you"
Namaste to you too. :-)
a really enlightening hub.Thank you
My dearest Marie, namaste. I too have discovered the beauty and power of this word. :) Thank you for sharing this in this hub.
Hi Marie, I loved this hub. I even placed this link on my latest hub "Affirmations: I am Special, You are Special." You are a beautiful and wonderful person and I honor you for that. Hugs... :)
Hi VioletSun, I thank Michelle too for adding this hub to her's or I might have missed this one forever. As I read this most beautiful hub it reminded me how life is subject to change without notice. I like your perspective of honoring the sacredness that can hold us up safely when times are tough. You remind me too to honor it even when times are good. Namaste, Marie.:) Thumbs up!
After reading this and your other Hub about living in the moment I feel like I should share my own thoughts on this subject of spiritual awakening:

There is a divinity deep within that connects us with each other and with everything around us. How we cultivate that divinity is entirely up to us.
Namaste.

That beautiful hub! The kind of world you describe is the one I have decided to live in. It isn't always smooth-going, but it is worth every second.
